What's new on Money Saving Meals this month?
Make the most of money saving silver beet
In the Kitchen Garden at school, I have just discovered how incredibly easy it is to grow silver beet (also called Swiss chard) and rainbow silver beet. It is very prolific, providing a bountiful harvest with leaves you can pick as you need to, so there’s no waste.
Food of the Month - Potatoes
Potatoes must be one of the most versatile of vegetables. This hearty and wholesome staple is in a class of its own when it comes to super-saver family fare from soups, salads and stews, to roasts and bakes or served as an accompaniment or topping for a pie.
New recipes...
This month we've added 3 new mouth watering recipes... Creamy bean soup with sage and parmesan, from this weeks article about silver beet comes leek, silver beet and feta slice and finally sweet potato and lentil curry soup. Perfect for a wintry day.
